| Comments | John Fernley was a keen town benefactor and resided at Clairville in Birkdale. He was responsible for funding the entire cost of Trinity Wesleyan Church in Mornington Road in 1863 and within twenty-five years another nine Wesleyan Methodist churches were added to the group. |
