Comments | St Peter’s Church dates from 1746, renovations and extensions continued in the 1870s. The church in Green Lane is a replacement church for the Chapelry of Formby St Peter which belonged to the the ancient chapel of St Mary Walton. The original church was destroyed by a storm in 1739 and was situated not far from where St Luke’s Church stands today. |
